There were justified howls of rage and gnashing of teeth in the Johannesburg jazz community when one of the city’s most popular venues, Orbit, shut its doors not long ago.
As a jazzophile I was deeply disappointed because this venue had become my usual haunt. Not only were the performances superb, the food and the ambience were also impressive...
