Alarm bells should have started ringing when the number I found online for the restaurant Linger Longer was said to be nonexistent by the electronic voice on the other end. Assuming that someone had carelessly listed a wrong number on the restaurant’s website, I told my wife Nomvuzo that we would simply drive to this restaurant that we used to frequent many years ago. If memory serves, the last time we went there was about 10 years ago.
When we got there we found to our chagrin that the address was now occupied by a nightclub. Because we’d been looking forward to this nostalgic experience we were disappointed. We were famished so we decided to go to the next place that came to mind...
