WHILE police and student protesters battled at the University of Witwatersrand’s main campus in Braamfontein‚ students at the education and business campuses were learning or chilling. Lectures continued as planned. Students sat outside, some reading and others chilling on a cool Johannesburg spring day. "We came back today. Everything is going well‚" said one Parktown student. "We hear of the drama at main campus but none of it is here." Security was strengthened across the whole education campus. At Wits Business School‚ work seemed to be going according to schedule with no disruption.
