The University of the Witwatersrand has relaxed its curfew, changing it from 10pm to 1am, citing an absence of incidents at the weekend, and reassurances from student leaders and residence staff. Wits students, meanwhile, were planning to take their demands for "quality& decolonised education & … an end to the police brutality" to the Constitutional Court on Monday. The afternoon march will be among a number of protest actions the student representative council (SRC) has planned to start off the week. It also tweeted of meeting at the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court to "support our arrested cadres" from the medical school.
