Ajay Gupta has accused Public Protector Thuli Madonsela of not following proper processes, during her investigation into allegations of state capture involving the politically connected family.The Gupta family has been accused of influencing Cabinet appointments.In a letter released on Tuesday by his attorneys, Van der Merwe Associates, addressed to Madonsela, the eldest Gupta brother said he gave evidence to Madonsela at his lawyers’ suggestion, not the public protector’s."There is a significant anomaly: an investigation into the President that involves and implicates the Gupta family, didn’t even subpoena the Gupta brothers," the attorneys said."The Public Protector Act clearly allows the questioning and cross-examination of witnesses who have given evidence before the public protector, and which is in Mr Gupta’s rights."President Jacob Zuma has also requested that he or his legal representatives be able to interview witnesses who gave evidence implicating him in the state capture...
