Gareth van Onselen’s article (Features, January 19-25) obviously has a factual base but what about the other side of the story? I am an optimist and believe this good news will spread, and more and more black people will find the courage to vote for the DA. And 2019 may be a bridge too far for the ANC, a sentiment which is being echoed by many in its ranks. Or do we just give up and tell our children to emigrate? Paul McNaughton Stellenbosch
