The leaders of our nation have got themselves very busy, purportedly trying to solve our urgent economic problems. From Cape Agulhas at the southernmost tip to Musina in the north, our leaders traverse the land preaching the gospel of radical economic transformation. Yet none speak of achieving growth first, except when cornered by investors on roadshows. On such occasions, our esteemed finance minister is forced to swap this apparently revolutionary narrative for the less attractive and more boring "inclusive growth" mantra, which was favoured by that "sellout" of a former finance minister who was apparently "forced" upon the president by the stooges of the amorphous markets.
