Activists will on Friday hold a memorial service in honour of Fezekile Ntsukela Kuzwayo‚ the HIV/Aids campaigner who became known as Khwezi during President Jacob Zuma’s rape trial. "She has been an inspiration and a woman of courage to many of us. She always stood her ground against oppression and, although at times she stood alone‚ she always stood for everyone in South Africa‚ every child‚ every woman and anyone who had ever faced injustice. "As we celebrate her life‚ we will take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come and how much further we still have to go‚ because the struggle is far from over‚" Section27 said in a statement. Kuzwayo had been studying a course on early childhood development at the time of her death on Saturday. Her family announced her death on Sunday. Zuma was acquitted on the charge‚ dating back to 2005. TMG Digital
