It’s comparison shopping like your mum used to do in the 1980s, but from your couch. And if you do need to drive to the shops, do it smartly
Everything is expensive these days: home loan, petrol and food. It’s pain everywhere in the budget.
But we can be smart in some places and one of them is to use all these online shopping apps; it makes our ability to do comparison shopping nice and easy. I have a friend who used to go to a shopping centre with their shopping list and visit all four main food retailers, checking the different prices. It worked and they’d certainly save money. But boy was it a mission. First they had to visit each store, record the different prices then return to each and do the actual shopping. Money saved. But sore feet and hours gone...
