I thought we’d be a hardier bunch … I am kidding, of course. Times are flipping tough. I have an old (but much loved) diesel bakkie with an 85l tank. I practically max out my credit card when I fill up — which is as infrequently as possible, I might add. Red meat has not been spotted in the household for at least six weeks, and I am genuinely fretting about the prospect of having to spike up with instant coffee...
