Ten years after the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) invested about $61m (about R1.1bn) in a liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal in Tema, Ghana, the project has reportedly been riddled with postponements, failing to achieve scale.

The estimated $350m project was supposed to be operational in 2016. Despite the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation saying in 2020 that the terminal would be completed to accept shipments in 2022, this has reportedly been delayed to later this year...
