Mobile network launches new standalone tower business, wants to share telecom infrastructure

Vodacom will appoint an MD for its newly established tower business, TowerCo, in July as it completes the separation of that unit into a standalone entity.
It plans to share its rooftop telecom infrastructure and pursue partnerships for alternative power sources for its sites to minimise the impact of electricity blackouts...
