In his Point of Order column on Monday, Tim Cohen suggested that the victors of the Brexit referendum, the voters, were liars (Fasten your seatbelts for a turbulent 2017, December 12). If that is not rough, it is nonsense. They used their heads and did not listen to Downing Street. And poor Donald Trump copped it again, even before he changes the furniture in the White House. Tim is a media man through and through and he knows full well how headlines and text are used to capture the minds and hearts of readers, often sailing close to the wind on accuracy and honesty. I believe the world is going to be in for some nice surprises, and if one of them is more US banks making the world’s top 50, be prepared to give this misunderstood man some credit.
