Every economist tells us that it is the small business community that creates the jobs (Study by World Trade Organisation gives leg up to small business, October 19). We also know that in SA today by far the largest grouping of small business is small black business. Unfortunately, the barriers standing in the way of the development of small business, including trade barriers and onerous legislation, often kill small business. Red tape and complex government structures disadvantage small business at every turn.
