If you’re the ANC government, or even President Cyril Ramaphosa, the one thing, surely, that should have been sorted out by the time the May 29 general election came around was Eskom. 

They have thrown everything that they have at load-shedding, cut Eskom’s debt, brought in a whole new board of directors, created a whole new cabinet post to fix it, and promise almost every week that there’s light at the end of the tunnel. They’ve broken the back of the problem...
