In the very important battle of the bakkies in SA, Isuzu got things a bit wrong with its KB. It might simply have been about timing, but the company really should have had spies hiding out near the development centres of Ford and Toyota. The KB could not really compete with the Ranger or Hilux when it came to design, interior quality and specification or engines. Now General Motors SA (GMSA) has introduced a facelifted version in a bid to get back in the fight. Major design changes are up front with a new facade. The standout feature is those new headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights on certain models. There is also a new bonnet, radiator grille and fog lights. Extended and double-cab models get a revised tailgate and LX double-cab versions now have a reversing camera. The LX gets 18-inch alloy wheels while there are revised 16-inchers for the rest of the range.
