YET another feast of motorsport it was this past weekend with the World Rally Championship’s (WRC) ninth round of the season taking place in Germany in what is dubbed the Rallye of Deutschland.Following a relatively gruelling race, it was Sebastien Ogier (Volkswagen Motorsport Polo R) who emerged at the top of the podium. He was followed in second place by Dani Sordo (Hyundai Motorsport i20) ahead of his team-mate Thierry Neuville in third."That was unbelievably close, but I am delighted to take our first podium of the season. We have come so close many times this year with fourth places in Mexico, Argentina, Portugal and Sardinia so it’s great that we’ve finally done it. After the disappointment of not being able to participate in Finland, we wanted to come here and show a good performance.
