Internet Solutions said on Friday it has entered into an agreement to acquire Naspers’s consumer-focused internet service provider Mweb Connect. It did not disclose the value of the deal. This comes two years after Internet Solutions’ parent company Dimension Data bought Naspers’s small and medium enterprise-focused internet service provider Mweb Business. Internet Solutions MD Saki Missaikos said Mweb was one of SA’s largest consumer internet service providers and the acquisition would "immediately give Internet Solutions a presence in the large and rapidly growing consumer market". Mweb CEO Derek Hershaw said for nearly 20 years Mweb had been connecting people and, like Internet Solutions, technology was at the core of its business.
