A cacophony of hooting cars, whistles, shouts and vuvuzelas fills the air in Budiriro, a high-density suburb south of Harare. 

A pickup carrying more than 20 people in yellow T-shirts, the official Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) colours, pulls to a stop. Several commuter buses are parked at the main shops in Budiriro 5, an opposition stronghold in the capital. CCC supporters have gathered to form a convoy to travel to Freedom Square, where opposition leader Nelson Chamisa is due to hold a rally. Traffic has come to a stop and motorists have to navigate their way around the stationary vehicles. ..
