Blade Nzimande to meet private sector about cash crisis at universities
While Fees Must Fall protests continue at campuses around the country‚ Higher Education and Training Minister Blade Nzimande will engage with the private sector to find answers to the funding crisis. On Tuesday, Nzimande was due to "hold a meeting with business leaders to discuss the critical role of business in supporting and finding solutions and new models, to achieve sustainable university education and technical vocational education and training (TVET) college system[s] for SA". Nzimande’s meeting with the private sector could again fuel suspicions that President Jacob Zuma was forewarned about the announcement last week that Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan was to be summonsed to appear on fraud charges.
