It remains unclear why Argentina’s first-choice rugby team, always a difficult prospect at home in Buenos Aires, were beaten so convincingly at the weekend — and by a Springbok side lucky to have won against them just a week before in Joburg.
It might have been because of the Springboks had the better of the brutal exchanges up front, the superior skill of Manie Libbok at flyhalf (his wayward goal-kicking notwithstanding), or the incisive running of the threequarters...
