The Sekunjalo Group has been dealt another blow as the Competition Tribunal has now dismissed its application for an extension of an interim relief order over the closure of its banking facilities. 

The tribunal said it was bound by legal hierarchy to the competition appeal court (CAC) pronouncement which set aside the tribunal’s order to grant relief to companies in Iqbal Survé’s Sekunjalo Investments stable, and a departure from this judicial pecking order would “likely result in chaos”...
