The Popi Act and its impact on marketing a small business
Being a small business in this environment isn’t easy; the past 12 months have been extremely challenging for SMEs operating in the travel, hospitality, beauty and food and beverage sectors, among others. According to a recent survey by SME financier Retail Capital, 31.5% of small businesses are running at a loss, while 29.6% are only just breaking even. Not surprisingly, business owners are trying anything to generate new business, whether that’s going online with an e-commerce store, offering great deals and sales, or putting their marketing into overdrive.
