The idea behind Leaders on the Move is for young entrepreneurs to have the opportunity to engage with astute business leaders. The latest Sunday Times Leaders on the Move event, which was sponsored by Johnnie Walker, was held in Johannesburg recently. Veteran journalist and political analyst Karima Brown discussed the context in which both South African and global businesses currently find themselves. Both locally and globally people are fed up with the elite and the establishment as we know it and feel they do not have the answer to unemployment, globalisation and political unrest. The result is that they are challenging traditional notions of leadership. The result is a space where entrepreneurs can flourish as they take charge of their own destinies.
