Key figures in the state capture allegations are feeling the heat amid continuing revelations from the leaked Gupta emails and active inquiries from parliament‚ observers say. Monday saw the surprise resignation “with immediate effect” of Dr Ben Ngubane‚ the Eskom chair‚ and the firing of Hlaudi Motsoeneng from the SABC. Both have featured prominently in reporting on state capture allegations and follow the bizarre departure of former CEO Brian Molefe from Eskom recently.
