The ANC has once more announced that it stands firmly behind Jacob Zuma. This is exactly the outcome they were hoping and praying for ahead of the 2019 poll.An ANC without Zuma at the head is a much more difficult entity to campaign against in an election, which would have to be fought over such annoyances as policy and its implementation.With Zuma front and centre, electoral politics becomes simple. Zuma is a symbol of corruption, cronyism and incompetence.
