The public was led to believe that the apartheid government implemented capitalism as a strategic economic system to exclude black people from the mainstream economy and deny them access to opportunity.Socialism advocates greater state control. In a socialist state, the government designs laws that infringe on such individual human rights as freedom, freedom of speech and association, the right to trade, and property rights.
