It’s that time in the Catholic calendar, the season of Lent in the lead up to Easter, when the faithful observe certain traditions, like the Stations of the Cross. This 14-step devotion commemorates Jesus Christ’s last day on Earth as a man and ends with his death on the cross, and his plea to his heavenly father to forgive those crucifying him “for they know not what they do”.It sort of sets the scene for forgiveness – on a massive scale you have to admit.
