Pikitup services might be affected by Cosatu march on Friday
But don't worry about your rubbish
PIKITUP has warned that its waste management services in Johannesburg may be affected by union federation Cosatu’s march on Friday.Cosatu is holding a national protected march to mark international day of decent work.The majority of Pikitup workers are members of Cosatu affiliate the South African Municipal Workers’ Union (Samwu).The company, however, said residents and business owners whose collection day fell on Friday should still put out their waste.Pikitup says if rubbish is not collected on Friday, it will be collected on Saturday, so residents and businesses should leave their rubbish out on Saturday.
