The Economic Freedom Fighters on Sunday laid criminal charges against the Gupta brothers, directors of their companies, mineral resources minster Mosebenzi Zwane as well as President Jacob Zuma’s son Duduzane Zuma. The criminal charges were just the beginning of an inevitable process that would end with the allegedly stolen monies being recovered, EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu says. Speaking outside the Rosebank Police Station Shivambu called on South Africa’s major banks, auditing firms and financial watchdogs to assist the investigation, adding that a solution to the ongoing state capture crisis would likely require political action, not just court processes.
