Whizz past in a green flash to show your environmental street cred
The second stage of the bike-sharing revolution has hit London in the form of Lime e-bikes
I’d like to claim it was newfound environmental activism that brought me to download the Lime bicycle app. It would sound better had I been persuaded into this action by the Extinction Rebellion protests, shamed by Greta Thunberg or David Attenborough or the cousin who insists on buying everything from the zero-waste shop. But the truth is, I just wanted to have a go on an electric bike.
Now, however, I have gone green, but only for short journeys; and when it’s not raining too hard. And when I can find a bike without having to walk too far.
