Why is it, that in an ever-leaner corporate environment where we’re all downsizing, meetings — the universally despised, ego-boosting plague that has beset working life — still take up so much of our time? We meet and meet and meet. And very little gets accomplished (between said meetings, we’re also supposed to be getting on with our actual jobs). Surely there exists a less painful, more productive way to conduct what is, let’s face it, a necessary evil. It’s paramount that the strategy renders useless the requisite eye rolling and also the temptation to play candy crush . I did some digging and found that at some multinationals, CEOs have effectively gone rogue and in so doing have found ways to make meetings less soul-sucking and more effective.
