With respect, I do not agree with your description of Heather Sonn’s resignation from Steinhoff as a "Greek tragedy" (Editor’s Note, May 21-27) (https://www.businesslive.co.za/fm/opinion/editors-note/2020-05-21-rob-rose-heather-sonns-greek-tragedy/). I found it disturbing that she could chair Steinhoff after having served for four years on the board while CEO Markus Jooste committed a bucketful of corporate crimes. Was she sleeping at the boardroom table?

It’s ironic that Sonn didn’t take this principled stand then and resign...
