LETTER: Africa’s innovators have a role too
We should be investing in the entrepreneurs who can identify and fill the gaps in the supply chain, because if we’re going to beat Covid-19, we need all hands on deck

Last week Jamie Carr (https://www.businesslive.co.za/fm/opinion/diamonds-and-dogs/2020-05-21-jamie-carr-astrazenecas-big-money-from-the-pandemic/) discussed the booming fortunes of big pharma companies such as AstraZeneca (Fox, May 21-27). Their soaring stock prices speak to investors’ confidence that the private sector will create the vaccine that brings Covid-19 under control.
But the vaccine will come with fresh problems. These include bottlenecks in the supply chain for vaccines, and logistical challenges in moving the cargo...
