The article headlined "Dlamini-Zuma is no answer for SA" illustrates Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma’s unsuitability for high office. Her role as health minister during the Sarafina! scandal showed her poor understanding of the Aids epidemic. Her passive involvement as minister of foreign affairs during President Thabo Mbeki’s failed "quiet diplomacy" on Zimbabwe clearly indicates her inability to adopt an independent view or possess the force of personality to have pursued a policy of greater resolve. Our future looks bleak, and we can only lament the failure of the ANC, in the recent past, to have provided a leader of vision and integrity. In any event, SA will have to produce a "miracle man or woman" to drain the cesspool the ANC has created. No-one in the ruling party fits the bill.Ted O’Connor, Albertskroon
