Venture capital (VC), which focuses on innovative start-ups, needs a complex network, or ecosystem. It is no surprise that it clusters in a few places, with Silicon Valley in northern California being the most prominent.
SA does not have any sizeable technology companies to act as the catalyst for a VC hub, but a fledgling hub has nonetheless emerged in the Western Cape...
