Uganda’s supreme court should clear up confusion about the constitutionality of tax appeal prepayments, says the deputy chief justice

In the past few months, the courts of Uganda have shown flexibility when it came to matters concerning business and taxpayers, especially in relation to the impact of Covid-19.
But despite this background I was surprised by a case, just decided, on the constitutionality of the principle of "pay now, argue later" in relation to tax appeals...
