It would be intriguing to discover quite how much the former Old Mutual Wealth Management paid some creative specimen, no doubt luxuriously appointed with cutting-edge facial hair and statement spectacles, to come up with the name Quilter as the brand to take it charging into the future.
To the outside observer it conjures up images of a wizened old crone going large at the patchwork to make it through the long winter months in a pre-Netflix era, but it is undoubtedly a great word for Scrabble — stick that on a treble word score and it’s Goodnight Vienna to the oppo.
