There’s a lot to be said for a company that is so sure of its ambitions that it smacks them right on the tin. The only downside for an operation such as the Huge Group is that it would have been wide open for some ill-mannered tittering if it had puttered along for years as a microcap. Though revenues of about R401m for the year mean the company is still a little way from achieving hugeness — indeed, this amount would be equal to something of an immaterial rounding error for a company like Apple — it is definitely moving in the right direction. The group has made two significant acquisitions in the year to complement its core voice connectivity business, with Huge Connect offering connectivity to card-payment terminals and Huge Networks taking the company into network service provision and data communications.
