My point was merely civic and I think it still stands. We are entitled to have very high expectations of the judges in SA’s apex court
Apart from the bigger local and international newspapers and agencies, the only two South Africans I religiously follow on Twitter are a wonderful agricultural economist called Wandile Sihlobo (@WandileSihlobo) and Pierre de Vos, a professor of constitutional law at the University of Cape Town (@pierredevos). Yesterday, on Twitter, I got something of a dressing down from De Vos. In a way it is a pleasure being corrected by someone who knows what they are talking about and I have too much respect for the man to engage in a Twitter exchange that I would probably have lost but from which no-one ever emerges with much credit.Anyway, the thing was this.
