One thing I like about winter is that there are many ways of dealing with the cold. You can simply stay in bed, or snuggle under a swathe of blankets in front of the TV, or engage in bedroom acrobatics. Infinite possibilities.

Though I am originally from Durban, sweltering weather frustrates me. I can wear shorts and T-shirts, or even plunge into the swimming pool and spend hours there. But when I get out I will still feel the heat. I am one of those who find it difficult to sleep when it’s too hot. My wife finds this funny because heat drives her to sleep...
