I was sitting on my bedroom floor in a patch of sunlight when I read the news. Associated Media Publishing (AMP), which produced magazines including Cosmopolitan, House & Leisure and Marie Claire, is going out of business as of May 1.
It can’t be. I’m dumbfounded. In my mind it makes sense: the whole industry was already struggling, and it’s the only logical thing to do. It’s the only possible outcome. But in my heart, and in my body, it makes no sense...
