Emira Property Fund is a diversified SA real estate investment trust (Reit) which was listed on the JSE in November 2003. The property portfolio is spread across the office, retail and industrial sectors.As at December 2016, Emira owned a total of 142 properties, down from 146 in December 2015. The property value split per sector is 42% retail, 44% offices and 14% industrial. The fund is highly exposed to the Gauteng region (74% by value). Emira’s biggest retail asset is Wonderpark Shopping Centre in Pretoria, a 90,906m² retail centre encompassing the major national retail tenants. The fund also has a focus on rural retail assets.The company recently announced a joint venture with One Properties to form Enyuka Property Holdings, which will focus on rural retail. One Properties owns a 50.1% stake in Enyuka and Emira the remaining 49.9%.
