Live-music lovers are in for a treat this weekend when the two-day Jam Jozi festival kicks off at Jo’burg’s Montecasino. More than 20 local artists, including Jack Parow, Matthew Mole, Rubber Duc, Al Bairre and Mafikizolo, will gather on one stage on October 29-30, along with top DJs. Afro-fusion musician Adelle Nqeto kicks off the festival at 10am on Saturday and the closing act, electronic band GoodLuck, will play at 6pm on Sunday.
The organisers of the picnic-style music festival promise that this will become an annual event on the local music calendar.
Tickets are R100/day or R150 for a full weekend pass.
You can break the music binge by meandering down Eat Street, Nosh Lane and Chow Avenue, all within the Montecasino outdoor events area, to enjoy a variety of burgers, burritos, sweet treats and beverages.
