Tsogo Sun’s luxury Johannesburg hotel, 54 on Bath, opened a champagne garden and bar this week in time for the holiday season. The launch is in conjunction with Maison Perrier-Jouët champagnes, whose floral range of bubbly was the inspiration for the bar and garden. The gardens have sweeping terrace views of Johannesburg, and guests will get to choose from a wide selection of Maison Perrier-Jouët champagnes, including the brand’s sought-after prestige cuvées, Belle Epoque and Belle Epoque Rosé, with its iconic, hand-painted anemone flower.Tsogo Sun is one of the top bidders at local and international wine auctions, which may explain why Perrier-Jouët’s Grand Brut is priced at just R760 a bottle.
