When the North Gauteng High Court ruled in 2010 that the online gambling operations of the Swaziland-based Casino Enterprises, widely known as Piggs Peak Casino, were illegal in South Africa, it seemed that online gambling was not going to flourish.
The government said back then — as it still says now — that remote gambling is illegal and that anyone who offered it or took part was breaking the law...
