No clarity on the deadlock between government and Eskom on the independent power producer’s programme for renewable energy was given on Thursday by Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe. Questioned in the light of Eskom’s refusal to sign off the bid window 4.5, Radebe insisted the IPP programme was strongly government policy. Eskom was a government entity that reported to Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown.
