Entrepreneurs often spend much of their time pitching for funds from angel and venture-capital investors. Though this is clearly important during the start-up phase, new research by Endeavour suggests that founders often overlook the vitality that mentors can bring to the business at this time.

The entrepreneurial ecosystem is filled with hope. Though some start-ups go on to live up to the hype, many fail to jump through the hoops that will turn an idea into a viable entity.
