Launch of global giant's online store locally expected to shake up sector

It has been termed the A-bomb of e-commerce. The arrival of Amazon.co.za in South Africa on Tuesday was one of the biggest moments in the history of online retail in the country, and is expected to make a massive impact on the sector in general.
In a statement released shortly after the Amazon.co.za website and app went live, the global e-commerce leader said a selection of local and international brands across 20 product categories would be available for same-day and next-day delivery, along with more than 3,000 pickup points, and an easy return system...
