Secretary of state Michael Pompeo became the first top US diplomat to visit an Israeli settlement in the West Bank, infuriating the Palestinians and underscoring in his waning days as president just how much Donald Trump bound his administration to Israel.
Shortly after the visit, the state department announced that imported goods produced in some Israeli settlements can be labelled “Made in Israel”. The department called the change “consistent with our reality-based foreign policy approach”...
